Labor Day

So, we had a fun labor day - we went to the Zoo, it was the first time we had been for a while because of the heat. It was still over 100 degrees, but we went to the splash pad afterwards.

They have this indoor part of the zoo that has snakes and lizards and.... roaches! I don't know if I just never noticed this display before, or if its new, but it was gross! It's a blurry picture but you can see the roach behind and to the right of Luke. And there's over 200 of them in the tiny display :) I don't do well with big bugs.

Then we went to the splash pad, which was perfect because of the hot day!

We planted a garden in the spring, and we have been enjoying the fruits of our labor :)

Happy Independence Day

We were able to go to Utah for Nate's family reunion this year - it was super fun! The drive was not so fun however. We woke the boys up at 3am, yes am, and left for the long drive up. The drive up was easier, for some reason, than the drive back. Maybe it was the fact that we were leaving for vacation, as opposed to coming home from vacation? Anyway, over the next few days we went to Lagoon, and spent some time at a park and church playing fun/competitive games. Ha - not real competitive, only to some people :) And my goodness, the weather was beautiful. People there would call it hot, but it was gorgeous. We kind of missed out on the fireworks because the city we were in does fireworks the day before (?) - We were lucky though, Nate's sisters neighbor had his own fireworks, which are not illegal up there like they are here, so we had our own private firework show right over our heads! It was so fun to see everyone and all of Isaac's cousins that live far away.

We stopped at the dam, mostly we all just wanted a reason to get out of the car!

Lagoon - Isaac loved it!

Luke crashed on our blanket in his swim suit

Luke walks all the time now, he kept trying to go to the playground

That is one fast spiderman!

Luke turns 1

I can't believe our little Luke is already 1! We had a little party for him, and he had so much fun with all the attention, which he is totally not used to having! He has been walking for a few weeks - he is still wobbly, but he is getting better all the time. He loves playing with trucks, so we got him a big one for his birthday, which Isaac thought was pretty cool too :)

His party was pancakes and pajamas - so I made his cake with a box and made pancakes with the mix, it turned out pretty tasty!

Luke's favorite word to say is TRUCK, and he says it so well. He can also say ball, car, and bird. His year stats were (and our kids are always funky on these):
Height: 28.5 - 5%
Head: 46.4 - 60%
Weight: 18.13lbs - 15%

Family Fun

So recently, our friends were nice enough to invite us to Raytheon day at Breakers = way less crowded! It is a small water park but was super fun. They have these huge grass areas all over the park, which makes it so nice to relax with the kids when they're past tired, hence the picture.

the latest..

Happy Easter! Today was fun. Although, it is hard to explain the resurrection of Jesus Christ to a 2 year old, but he did enjoy the candy :)

So i figured out why I never post on my blog - It's because we have a super old and slow laptop where I put all our pictures. And it takes FOREVER to do anything on our laptop. So I only post once a month because I load pictures like once a month! I base my posts around pictures that I want to share, so that is why I don't post more often. And I just realized that my computer only downloaded half the pictures on my camera. So I only have one picture for you, but it's a cute one- Isaac was in time out, and I look over and he's reading a magazine we got in the mail, what a funny kid.

March Already?

Really. It's already March. It feels like it was just Christmas! Anyway, Here are some family pictures we got done a while back ( just realized that I didn't include any of us adults, oh well):

And here is what it is really like to take family pictures with two kids under two:

My three favorite boys :)

Birthdays!

So Isaac's birthday is Christmas, and Nate's birthday is January 8th, which is two weeks after Christmas! We celebrated Isaac's birthday a week later (I don't know if that is how we will always do it, but thats how we did it this year).

I made Nate a Reese's ice cream cake with brownies on the bottom-I thought it was good! Except it's melting in the picture.

I just had to slip this one in because I thought it was so cute. Their first time in a cart together at Costco! They did pretty good for the first ten minutes, it went downhill after that :)

I borrowed a car cake mold from a friend, and Isaac loved it! He didn't see the mistakes and messy details, he just knew it was a car and thought that was awesome. He had a runny nose forever-in case you are wondering why his face is all red around his nose.

PS-any suggestions for how to do Isaac's birthday since it is on Christmas?
