So Isaac's birthday is Christmas, and Nate's birthday is January 8th, which is two weeks after Christmas! We celebrated Isaac's birthday a week later (I don't know if that is how we will always do it, but thats how we did it this year).

I made Nate a Reese's ice cream cake with brownies on the bottom-I thought it was good! Except it's melting in the picture.

I just had to slip this one in because I thought it was so cute. Their first time in a cart together at Costco! They did pretty good for the first ten minutes, it went downhill after that :)

I borrowed a car cake mold from a friend, and Isaac loved it! He didn't see the mistakes and messy details, he just knew it was a car and thought that was awesome. He had a runny nose forever-in case you are wondering why his face is all red around his nose.
PS-any suggestions for how to do Isaac's birthday since it is on Christmas?

My brothers birthday is on Christmas and my parents were really good about making it his special day too. After dinner we had cake and he opened his presents. I think he would have a friends party either the week before or the week after, whenever his friends were available.
Your boys are really cute. I wish all grocery stores had carts like costco. It would make life so much easier.
Cute boys! The cake is amazing... strike that, both cakes were amazing! You go girl. Well I do have an idea for the birthday situation.... because I was all holidayed out after Christmas, and almost forgot Spencer's birthday on the 4th, so from now on (well when he is bigger) he will get to celebrate his day, and 6 months later we will have an unbirthday party, and we will invite friends and have cake and icecream, and the big shindig.
Jen it's so great to see some pics of your cute family! Luke is getting so big! I'm glad you had a good Christmas. And Happy Birthday to Isaac! Great job on the cake, by the way :)
