So... Time for the big news I guess! I think most everyone knows now.. but we are pregnant! We found out back on my birthday in April, which was exciting news for my birthday, and then we waited a few weeks to tell our families, then we waited till we were about 12 weeks to tell everyone else. And I just havent had a lot of time to post or I totally would have put these up so much earlier! So these first set of sonogram pictures were taken when the baby was like 13 weeks old back in early June.. This was also the first time we heard the heart beat, so it was really fun!


This is a picture of my belly at almost 21 weeks, which was today btw. It totally does not look big in this picture at all.. but it feels huge! Pictures don't show how big it really is..

I cant figure out how to rotate the pictures but this sonogram was taken about a week ago, so when the baby was almost 20 weeks. At this sonogram...... we found out that we're having a BOY! We both totally thought it was a girl the entire time, I don't know why we thought that, but turns out it was a little boy. So in the picture on the left you can see the bottom of his little foot, and the picture on the right is kind of hard to see but it is the bottom of his bum with his legs coming up, this is the picture where we found out that it was a boy (as you can see)!

This next sonogram picture is of the baby's face head on, which looks kind of scary, he looks like a skeleton. Then the next one is my favorite, he has his hand up by his face (maybe he is sucking his thumb or something), but I just think this one is really cute!

Then this last one is fuzzy but it is just a picture of his profile. During the sonogram, he was totally moving his lips around in this one, it was so wierd how well we could see it!

Anyway so I am due December 23rd so hopefully he is not born on Christmas! If he is born before Christmas I would be very happy because then he would be with us on Christmas, but as long as he comes healthy I won't complain. I am also graduating December 18th, which is also the last day of finals for both Nate and I, so hopefully he doesnt come too early either. Nate is taking a winter session class too, which meets like 4 hours a day over the Christmas break, so he might have to miss class depending on when he comes. However, I heard planning things for a baby doesn't always go so well so we will just have to go with the flow! And we are so excited to be having a baby boy, Nate is so excited to teach him lots of boy stuff!

SUMMER!

Then, later in the summer, Nate and I decided to go camping up in Mt. Lemmon, which was actually really fun, and the weather was super nice up there. It did take us forever to get a fire going.... only because we didn't think to bring any wood. There is a place up there called Windy Point, where you can climb far out on the rocks and watch the sunset and it was so pretty, pictures definately dont do the sunrise any justice!

Summer has been sooo fun for us.. We come home and get to do whatever we want, instead of doing homework! We have also been on tons of trips and we have new exciting news.. Ya its been a while since we last posted anything. Anyway after school got out, at the end of May we went up to my Grandparent's 50th anniversary party in Illinois, where we visited Chicago, so here are some pictures from that:

Nates's Birthday

So.. For Nate's birthday we went to a U of A basketball game, which he loves going to! We won that game too, so that was good. It was really fun! Our basketball team hasn't been doing so well since we started losing after our 7 game winning streak!

This picture was taken a while ago, on our one year anniversary actually. We were eating cake from our wedding day that my dad had frozen for a year! So that was a nice surprise to eat cake from our wedding. Time goes so fast! We have already now been married a year and four months!

I have not posted in forever! School and life just seems to get so busy.

Christmas was so much fun! We got to visit both of our families and enjoyed lots of good food. We put up lights in our window and obviously we put up a tree! We put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving because we had time and we were really excited for Christmas. I'm sad Christmas is already over. It seems like it came so fast!

So...
School has been very hectic lately because I have 5 mid-term exams coming up, plus papers, etc. My husband is also very busy because he has a lot of tests and presentations as well! School is very stressing sometimes. I just talked to my advisor on Wednesday and I for sure am going to graduate a year from December! Which I am soooooo EXCITED about. Basically that means that after this semester I will only have ten classes left. Anyway, I also just found out that there is such a thing as summer financial aid! Hmm... so I will definately take summer classes if I am eligible for that!
I am really liking all of my classes. I really do love my major. I am so happy to be finally taking classes that I want to take, not classes that I have to take!
Anyways, So this year for thanksgiving we were supposed to go to my husbands parents house, but they ditched us and are going to Utah! JK they are not ditching us, but they are going to Utah for Nate's sisters vocal performance thing. It is a big thing so that is totally cool. So we get to hang out with my parents again which is fine with me also! I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving break though. We also dont have to travel very far because my dad and sisters live in Mesa, Az. Which is like an hour and 45 minutes away. I also cant wait for the holidays to arrive! I LOVE the holidays. I like to try to bake new stuff, (which Nate sometimes likes, depending on how it turns out). And this year my presents for my extending family - I am making homemade prickly pear jam! I already have the juice from the prickly pear, I just need to make it into jam. Anyway have a good day everyone!

So today, I am going to try to add a picture to the blog.. if I can figure out how. The pictures I want to add are the ones from our honeymoon last January. That was the funnest trip ever! And not even expensive. We went on a cruise to Baja Mexico. Anyway I will try to post those sometime soon...

Halloween

So this is my first posting on this blog! And I dont know what to write about... Nate and I are in school for atleast another year from December but that is pretty close to graduating! And.. hmm I am really excited for Halloween because we are going to a trunk or treat in our ward and we want to deck out the back of our old truck. So that will be exciting, plus we are going to carve a pumpkin! Anyway, but I dont think we are going to dress up as anything.. cuz then you have to buy costumes. But we'll see!
