Memorial Day

Whew! Nate's first big break after busy season, this past weekend sure was nice. We visited family, went on a date, went garage saling, visited friends, went on a hike, etc. We packed a lot in! Isaac had fun playing in the sprinkler..

So this is what he did when we told him to smile (??).

He leans over, tips his head, and smiles, I really have

no idea where he came up with that one :)

His cousins :). Coolest Cars couch ever apparently.

My Little Chocoholic

Here is a really bad (sorry) belly shot at 35 weeks. I need to try harder at pregnancy pictures, I know, and the t-shirt does not do my big belly justice.

Pictures

So a while back.. We took Isaac to get some pictures taken. We ended up waiting around for a couple of hours because the place was busy and the picture taking even took a while. We have a friend, Jamie Harper, who takes pictures and she took these, and some other ones, of Isaac in about 5 minutes and they turned out way better than our previous pictures! We love them! And those are real ducks btw..

And for some other really late news for those of you who don't already know:

We are having another baby! We found out back in November, and we found out that IT'S A BOY in February! So we are excited for baby #2! This time around I was much less nauseous so that was nice. And right now I am 30 weeks and my due date is June 20th. I have a feeling I might be late again.. But who knows!

Holidays

I feel like every time I post, I post about something that happened like a month ago, but I guess that is pretty good blogging for me anyway. So for Christmas we were at home Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, then we went and visited with my family here, and then went down to Tucson to visit with Nate's family. Then, we headed up to my dad's little cabin in Happyjack and got snowed in (for a day)! There was no snow on the ground when we got to the cabin, and two days later there was like two feet! That kind of messed up our skiing/snowboarding plans but it was still a lot of fun. So in the pictures below, Isaac is helping Nate put together the end table we got for Christmas! He thought he was helping anyway..

This is when we went outside and played in the snow when it was like an inch deep. It was still freezing though, like 20 degrees, which us cold for us arizona folks.

Isaac didn't really like touching the snow, but he liked being outside, and we didn't really have the right clothes for him so he mostly has a ton of layers on.

This is pictures of the snow after it was really deep. You can barely see our car! Also, the shovel was locked in the shed, for which we had no key, so Nate went and dug out our car and the driveway with a sled and a dustpan. Seriously.. He was sore for a while after that.

Update

So all of you made fun of me for thinking it was too cold to run outside in October! Just to let you know.. I was running at like 6:00 in the morning with a baby wrapped in a blanket! I didn't realize how lame I sounded when I said it was too cold, but I was mostly thinking of Isaac..

Anyhow, we went to the zoo and a fair thing with some friends back in October and it was a lot of fun! I just love fall activities!

Isaac's first Halloween was fun! He was supposed to be an elf, but everyone thought he was Robin Hood and needed a bow and arrow! He ate lots of candy too.

Recently, we went to Anthem to see the US's largest real Christmas tree, and let me tell you, it was huge!

We don't have anything like a Winterhaven here in Phoenix, but there are other fun activities that we have found, what are all of you doing for the holidays?

Blah

I know... I have become a bad blogger! I don't have pictures on the computer that I am using so I wont be posting any, but as far as news goes... Isaac is standing by himself now! Thats scary.. and Nate starts work next week! He is so glad to be done studying. We are enjoying the amazing weather that has finally come to Phoenix! I would keep the windows open all the time if these apartments weren't so noisy! So recently, we got into a routine where we all (Nate, Isaac, and myself) went running in the morning together with the jogging stroller. It worked really well up until it started getting cold in the mornings, I guess we're whimps :) Anyway, we are trying to figure out a way to still get a work out done in the morning where we would all benefit from it.. (Plus running together made me work harder) So if anyone has any ideas, let me know! We have a gym here at our apartments, but Isaac just gets into trouble if we let him wander, so no go there.. On another note, I started couponing and I am really enjoying it so far.. Maybe that's weird! But it is fun for me to know that something that is normally priced at like $4.50, I was able to get for like $1.25. It's awesome! Does anyone coupon? Do you have any tips? I am not very experienced but it is fun so far! Sorry this post was so BLAH, I just felt like I needed to post about something and let people know we are still alive!

MOVING

Moving is not the funnest thing in the world.. But I am always excited to put our stuff in a new and bigger place! We just moved to Phoenix a few weeks ago so below are some pictures of our apartment. But first...
Isaac needed a serious haircut, as you can see. His hair was so long, and his cowlicks (Spelling?) grow together in the back with makes his hair stick straight up. So we buzzed it off with clippers, and at first we were sad that all of his hair was gone, but now his short hair has grown on me and I think it is just as cute.

And here is our apartment!
Dining area/front door
Kitchen (twice the size as our old one)

Guest/Isaac's bathroom

Isaac's room
There is a closet to the left that is not in the picture

Master Bedroom
(I know, we need another lamp)

Our finished dresser with mirror! I could probably
get a better shot of the dresser to show how nice it looks, but oh well.
It is darker in the picture than it is in real life, and the nightstands above
are also refinished and match the dresser. Thank you craigslist.

Anyway we also have a little balcony, covered parking, a gym, etc.
I could get used to this...
Also, Isaac is getting so big! He crawls around everywhere these days and is standing in his crib when I get him up from his naps. He has two bottom teeth and two top teeth that are going to break through any day now (and will hopefully make him sleep better at night).
