MOVING

Moving is not the funnest thing in the world.. But I am always excited to put our stuff in a new and bigger place! We just moved to Phoenix a few weeks ago so below are some pictures of our apartment. But first...
Isaac needed a serious haircut, as you can see. His hair was so long, and his cowlicks (Spelling?) grow together in the back with makes his hair stick straight up. So we buzzed it off with clippers, and at first we were sad that all of his hair was gone, but now his short hair has grown on me and I think it is just as cute.

And here is our apartment!
Dining area/front door
Kitchen (twice the size as our old one)

Guest/Isaac's bathroom

Isaac's room
There is a closet to the left that is not in the picture

Master Bedroom
(I know, we need another lamp)

Our finished dresser with mirror! I could probably
get a better shot of the dresser to show how nice it looks, but oh well.
It is darker in the picture than it is in real life, and the nightstands above
are also refinished and match the dresser. Thank you craigslist.

Anyway we also have a little balcony, covered parking, a gym, etc.
I could get used to this...
Also, Isaac is getting so big! He crawls around everywhere these days and is standing in his crib when I get him up from his naps. He has two bottom teeth and two top teeth that are going to break through any day now (and will hopefully make him sleep better at night).

Isaac had his 6 month appointment with the doctor yesterday. He got some shots, so sad, but his six month stats are: 50% for head circumference, 50% for length, and 25% for weight! He doesn't look super skinny or anything to me but whatever, the doctor said he is fine. Does anyone else have kids that are underweight? It seems like every baby I see is a huge (and cute) chunk! We went up to my dad's cabin in Happyjack with some friends and Isaac went quadding! Ok not really, this ATV didn't even work. But its a cute picture!

Nate and I are trying to refinish a dresser and some nightstands that we got for pretty cheap off craigslist. They needed a lot of work, but they are real wood and we sanded them and then stained them a bit darker than they were and we are almost done! But here is what it looked like beforehand..

Mission Call

So one of my good friends, Missy, just left on a mission at the beginning of this month. She went to the Philippines and will be speaking Tagalog! We will miss her. This was her going away party here in Tucson. Go Missy! (She is the one sitting next to me)

And Isaac is such a cutie! He started sitting all by himself right around when he was five months, he is about 5.5 months now so he has been sitting for a few weeks! He is such a good boy too, he only crys when he is really hungry or really tired and in his car seat. And he finally started sleeping through the night, which might be over soon because I can see two teeth coming soon. He also figure out how to chew on his thumb, he doesnt really suck on it, he just chews it until there is spit running all down his outfit, arm, and face. What a cute boy!

Vacation!

We went to San Diego for a nice vacation after Nate's graduation. We went to seaworld, the San Diego Temple, sunset cliffs, the beach (obviously), shopping villages, La Jolla cove, etc. And we went out to eat to some really good places! We rented movies and watched them after Isaac went to bed. It was such a fun trip! Isaac, during the trip, would not stop biting his lower lip, as you can see in every single picture.

Graduation

So Nate graduated! We are so glad that we are both finally done with school! We went out to lunch with family afterwards to celebrate. Nate graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting and Management Information Systems, yay for Nate! Except now, he is busy studying for the CPA... so much for being done studying.

Fun Run!

So Nate and I did a 5.2 mile run at the Catalina State Park in Oro Valley, and it was super fun! We had to run through the river/wash (whatever it is) like 8 times, and parts of it were like a foot deep. There were also a lot of ups and downs (obviously, its a trail), and sand to run through too. Isaac got to come too, thanks to helpful grandparents! We had a lot of fun, hopefully we will be able to do more in the future.

So Isaac started rolling over! I help him roll over at first, and put his arm in the right place, and after that he can usually do it on his own. He always lets out a toot while he is on his tummy.. Ha that position must help him.

Spring Break

Spring break was so nice this year.. We went up to Mesa to visit my family and while we were there, we went to the visitor's center at the Mesa Temple. Then we went to go to the temple, my dad was going to babysit for us, we got there and remembered that they were closed! So much for that.. then we went apartment shopping in Phoenix because we will be moving up there sometime this fall! That was fun, but it was a long day in the car for Isaac, and he was being so good.

This picture was taken before church one Sunday, I just loved this outfit on him! And this picture was taken before we cut his hair! So it looks super long on top.

Also during spring break we went to a baseball game and took Isaac! So it was his first baseball game. After he ate and napped for a bit, he was in a much better mood!

I love the bumbo chair! He looks so cute in it, and is still working on holding his head up straight. Also, in this picture you can see how much shorter his hair is now that we cut it! It looks a lot better than it did before. I think it makes him look like such a little boy!
